Urban Programming for Indigenous Peoples

The Urban Programming for Indigenous Peoples (UPIP) was created in 2017. The purpose of this program is to help First Nations, Inuit, and Metis make the transition into the urban way of life, through urban centres. Of all the Indigenous peoples living in Canada, more than half of them are living in urban centres.

Funding

The UPIP has 4 different ways that they receive funding:

2. Programs and Services
3. Coalitions
4. Research and Innovation
